Bilgola Beach is a beautiful spot and is nestled in between Avalon and Newport Beach in the picturesque region of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club was formed in the summer of 1949 when a small band of locals commenced patrols on Bilgola Beach. At the end of the 2008/2009 season the Bilgola Club celebrated 60 years of service to the local community. Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club, which is located at the south end of Bilgola Beach, offers a real sense of community spirit.
