Winners - Bilgola Gold ASRL Open 2016

Bilgola surf boat rowers created history over the weekend at the ASRL Open at Shellharbour by winning both the inaugural u19 women’s and women’s reserve grade titles. The is the first time these 2 events have been held at such a major national carnival. The Sweetcheeks u23 women (Alicia Jackson, Ella smith, Caitlin Lowe, Tiani Schaeffer, swept by  the legend Don McManus) were victorious in all their races across the weekend and chased down a great wave in their final to snatch victory in a very competitive race. Blackmores Bilgola Surf Boat Carnival

The Annual Blackmores Bilgola Boat Carnival was on Saturday 5 November 2016. It was the first local carnival of the season and a great showcase of surf sports. The format , depending on conditions, is as follows: 7.30am    Competitors report time  8.00am    First race Divisions include: Open Men Open Women Reserves Under 23 (Men and women) Under 19 (Men and Women) Mixed crews race (2 men&2 women) – This will be restricted to two heats and a Final. The event will be broadcast at the beach and the best view is from the surf club balcony.
