The entry form is available above - This can be printed and brought along on the day. For electronic entries go to
www.oceanswims.com. Registrations will commence at 8.30 am on the day.
There will be a whiteboard on display at the place of registration with a map of the course and an official at hand to answer any questions. There will be a briefing approximately 1 min prior to the start.
5. Entry Fees: The Entry Fee is the same as last year at $25.00 for pre-registration and $30 on the day for the swim. For information about making payments to the Club Ocean Swim account, please see our Contact Us page.
6. The Finish: The Finish will be the same as for previous years, depending on weather and beach conditions on the day. At the finish there will be a number of helpers handing out times. A Swimmer on receipt of their time should then proceed to the recorders , who will now be situated under the clubhouse at the top of the ramp from the beach, and have their time recorded. (Please assist us by ensuring that you do give your time to our recorders, this is our most accurate way of double checking that all swimmers have safely returned to shore. Even if you withdraw from the event after registration or throughout the event, please ensure your name is marked off.) After completion of this stage please proceed to the baebeque and lawn area where water and fruit will be available free of charge.
7. Afterwards: The barbeque will be operating with sausages, steaks and kebabs available for purchase. At 11am our famous Boat Bar will be opened and all are welcome to come in and enjoy this facility. The presentation of awards will take place in the barbeque lawn area (weather permitting) as soon as possible after the last swimmer has completed the course.
8. Parking: In the past Council have not enforced the Pay and Display regulations for vehicles legally parked withing the Bilgola Car Park area. This means they WILL book vehicles that are parked in No Standing/stopping areas. They have also allowed us to use Porter Reserve (The Newport Rugby Grounds) on the left, at the bottom of the hill, at the northern end of Newport for free parking. We envisage that this arrangement will be continued this year and will advise when we have written consent from Council.
9. Shuttle Bus: Pending final confirmation from Council, we will be operating a shuttle bus from Porter Reserve from 9.00 am till 10.40 am and from 1pm to 2.30pm in the afternoon.
10. More Information: If you require any more information or have any further questions please email to : club.information@bilgolaslsc.org.au. look forward to seeing you on the day.
